ITWG report for IOI 2007 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (1) IOI Practice CD I failed to reach Jyrki and get the source of the current CD. Since Linux (and live Linux CD's) have become much more common since the times when the practice CD has been created, I propose replacing it by a recommendation of a specific Linux distribution and a list of packages which are needed for practicing. (2) Grading systems I am trying to map the landscape of grading systems used by different countries (see also my talk at this year's IOI conference). I plan to coordinate maintenance of an open-source grading system shared by multiple countries and used at the future IOI's if the host does not prefer their own system. (3) Pascal environment I was helping the current host with setting up a Pascal environment. Since it is not trivial and the problems with compiling and debugging Pascal seem to be recurring, I will add a detailed description of the Pascal environment to the package lists. Plans for the near future: (a) Moving the ISC infrastructure Since Tom Verhoeff will no longer have time to maintain the services needed for ISC work (mailing list, secure Wiki etc.), we will move them to our site at Charles University in Prague and I will continue maintaining them. (b) IOI library Many pieces of software are re-developed by the host country for each IOI. Unlike the contest system itself, most of the other pieces, like the registration or translation system, get thrown away afterwards. I would like to keep a library of programs used at the IOI's, from which the future host countries can select whatever they see fit. Martin Mares, 19.8.2007
